Glass! Paper! Silver!

At last I managed to turn my love for handmade paper into something useful.

GlassPaperSilver Fisch necklace and ring

Something I’ve wanted to do for a long time now. Incorporating handmade paper into my jewelry. And I am very happy with how it turned out!

It all started while working on a new art school project. The theme was water. The first idea I had was to stick flattened wire between 2 layers of thin handmade paper and then varnish it until it was almost transparent. This turned out really lame and I continued working and experimenting with the paper itself. Crocheting the cotton necklace turned my thoughts to sewing cotton and my dear friend Bernina whom had been hidden in the closet for too long! That was how a weekend of machine embroidery started. Great fun!!

I am currently still designing and working on more ideas which I hope will eventually reach my Etsy shop. The little red hearts were unfortunately too late for Valentines this year, but shall hopefully be ready and listed before Valentines Day 2017!
