What you need to know about ring sizes

Best way to get your ring size is to have a jeweller measure a ring that fits you the way you like it.

Temperature makes a difference  –  cold fingers shrink, warm fingers swell.  It is best to measure at room temperature.

Wider bands need to be a bigger size.   The wider the band, the bigger the size.  Again, measuring a wide ring that fits, is best.

Resizing is not always possible.  A metal ring with no or little detail on the band can sometimes be hammered to a bigger size.  Only simple bands with no detail have the possibility of being made slightly smaller.

There are many size charts out there, often different from one another.  The ring sizes I use are according to the chart on the left.
